Lies, are they truly always a bad thing? Are they, I personally say yes. Some would say that lies will help protect them and others from the harsh and painful truth, but then they will just be hurt even more later on. But then again don't parents lie to their children and tell them majestic tales of happiness and joy and wonder to keep the happy, why does it change with age? Is it because we are supposed to get more mature and without doing anything worthy of respect other than getting older we suddenly deserve to be treated as adults? Why must people be hurt more because some people are just to worrisome to tell the truth. And what about the whole “They wont experience the real world” and “They have a right to know the truth” or “Who gave you the right to decide what they get to know?” arguments that show that for no matter what reason lying hurts people much more than the truth will, you just need to the truth and things will become clearer, yes their will be tough times but everything will fall back into place sooner or later, a terrible painting will become a wondrous mosaic.
